Chinese cultural influence on public life in Indonesia have lasted more than a thousand years ago. Immigrants from China also has been living in this country before the arrival of the Dutch. However, the types of batik, which we know as the new Chinese batik appeared several decades after the Dutch batik present and have a place in the market throughout the north island of Java.

Occasionally there were applications keraton(palace) batik patterns and motifs in color red, blue and soga. In the techniques and patterns, often Chinese batik more beauty than Dutch batik.
